Hello everyone,has anyone got any info on this person please? I have a marriage to Sarah Hemsley 8 Aug 1836 in East Leake Notts but the 1841 census says that he was born East Leake when in fact he was born Nottingham St Marys.
Any help would be appreciated.

Unless the PR is specifically annotated then it only tells you he was baptised at St Marys not that he lived there. The 1841 census only tells you he was born in county although I agree the later ones do indicate he was born in Leake but as he did not fill in the form what is recoded is not always 100% correct.

The 1841 census does not give birthplaces, only a Y or N for "born in County"
so his entry says
John Tuckwood 25 cordwainer Y
