The 1919 death at Melville Road, Ladybank was certainly for an Ethel Elizabeth Magee, sister of George from Antrim. Details as above and linked etc.

Trying all sorts of new name combinations for possible 1915 births for your Ethel E*, Shelly. Still getting nowhere  :-\

I think we are still 7 months away from searching properly online for Ethel b. 1915 in Scotland via SP...

Ethel's marriage certs will just confirm David and Rachel likely as her parents (think this is what you, Shelly and your cousin have found? Also, do not think, sadly, that her Australian DC is likely to throw new light on this all  :-\).

We still need to find a possible Scottish birth entry that might fit (hate to think she might be English/Irish etc....only because it gets even MORE trickier!).

So Monica,

Ethel's brother George had a "nurse" in his abode named Ethel Hall who may have been the mother of Shelly's great aunt Ethel who married & moved abroad ............is that correct  ???

Annie, not sure on Ethel Hall at all, other than that census entry ref for her from 1911 at George's household in Ireland.

The person who died in 1919 at Melville Road, Ladybank, informed by George Magee, was his sister Ethel Elizabeth Magee, single and aged 46. I think that is the only fact we have so far on this Magee family.

Added: Just realised too from that 1911 entry in Ireland that Ethel Hall, was widowed and born in England. A few 'creative' possibilites working off mother being possibly Ethel Hall. Restricted online from checking as births for 1915 not available to view until next year with the 100yr privacy rule. Frustrating as always...
