« on: Sunday 24 May 15 20:23 BST (UK) »
Hi

I'm looking for descendants/info on the above. They arrived in New York in October 1870, with their two children, James George (B1865) & Elizabeth Caroline (B1868), a third child Rose A, was born in Bradford County on 25 August, 1872. Emanuel died on 30 June, 1879, and is buried in Wyalusing Cemetery.

Regards

On www.fultonhistory.com, there is an obituary for Rose Wixson that says she was the daughter of Emmanuel and Anna Haines Chambers.  She was survived by the daughter she was living with in 1940 and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Blackwell of Corning, New York.

I think this is Elizabeth/Lizzie:

1900 - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M34N-X3K

1910 - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M5HB-S6B

1920 - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MVSJ-KV3

A Jul. 1923 newspaper article from a Corning newspaper on www.fultonhistory.com says that James Chambers of Washington, DC was a guest of his sister Mrs. Freeman Foster of West Pulteney Street.

Her daughter Madge's marriage record - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FFR5-NJT

1930 - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X4Y3-R59

Possible burial for Elizabeth - http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Foster&GSiman=1&GScid=64902&GRid=128713270&

www.fultonhistory.com has an obituary for Elizabeth (try searching for the exact phrase "Mrs. Freeman Foster" and look for one of the ones from 1947), which says she was survived by 3 daughters, 2 sons, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  I would think there must be some survivors of that branch still around.

One of the sons of Madge, who appears to still be living, appears to have an interesting place in history.  I'll send you what I found via personal message.

Hi Shelly

Just to say thanks again for all of your help. You were right regarding Mrs. Freeman Fosters descendants, her children were from her first marriage and I am now in touch with one of her descendants (my fourth cousin) who lives in Minnesota.

Regards
