Haren Brothers to USA
« on: Tuesday 26 May 15 16:34 BST (UK) »
Hi Rootschatters,

I found an obituary in Australia that tells me that three of my great grandmother's brothers' went to the USA.  I have no idea when or where they went to in the States.

Terence Haren born 3 February, 1865
Daniel Haren born 25 March, 1870
James Haren born 15 December, 1872

Parents names were John Haren and Hannah Murphy Haren of Tullaghaboy, Kilmaley, Co. Clare, Ireland.

I would appreciate any ideas. :)

Some of the census records in the link above may be for a different person.  The New York City marriage record seems to fit, but it seems unlikely that someone living in Buffalo would get married in New York City as they're on completely opposite sides of the state.

There is a family tree that has the Daniel Haren living in Buffalo, New York (and dying there on 26 Jan. 1946) with the same siblings mentioned above, but connected to different parents.  It may be wrongly combining two different families, but just thought I'd mention it.

On a quick first look, I agree with Shelly, there are a few anomalies  :'(
The birth date on the anc tree for Daniel also varies slightly - 1 Mar 1870 in Killanniv, Clare

There is also a family tree for a Terence Haven 28 Jul 1865 in Killanniv, Clare, who immigrated in 1886 - parents Daniel Haren and Mary Coughlan/ Coughlin/ Coghlin  :'(

shellyesq and Sandra, the other Daniel Haren is a cousin who lived in Buffalo. Sandra, that would be his parents Daniel Haren and Mary Coughlan.  As if it's not confusing enough.  My Haren's from Clare, Ireland seem to name children in each family the same :(   Thank you.  :)
