the couple had five Children (John Edward (~1891-  ), Ivy Isobel (Mrs Smith) (~1893-~1980), Hilma (mrs Saarinen), Dorothy Rhoda Mildred (~1902-~1927) and Eric Victor Herman (1909-1989).

Good morning to you all!

First I´m very impressed for all help I have recieved. Must take some time to sort it out.


It looks that it must be "the right" person. "Ollquist" is not the most common name....anywhere.

Johan Edward´s father was actually Eric Ollquist (or Ollqvist in Finland). Erik Eriksson Ollqvist (1829-1920) and his wife Brita Mattsdotter Bertils (1831-1876) were the parents.  8 children survived childhood. As it seems, there is no living decendants in Finland to this couple (Eric and his third wife do have descendants).

Descendants to Eric Ollqvist and Brita Bertils live in Sweden, USA ("Ollquists" in New York) and Australia.
