McKee, Alexander left Armagh 1837 for United States
« on: Thursday 11 June 15 19:05 BST (UK) »
I've been researching the Alexander McKee family. They arrived in New York City, New York, United States on 12 Jul 1837 aboard the "Republic." The family eventually settled in Randolph County, Illinois, United States. They are most likely part of the Presbyterian migration (latter part).

Based on the death certificate of one of Alexander's grand daughters, the family was living near Port/Mount Norris, County Armagh, Ireland where she was born 11 May 1837 (Mary Jane McKee) and just prior to the family's migration.

If you would like to see some of the work I've done on this family, visit the following blog:
http://alexandermckee.blogspot.com/

In addition to posts about various descendants, the blog includes a 200 plus page downloadable family tree in the form of a book (PDF). It serves as a quick reference for anyone who thinks they might be related.

If you are connected to this family, I would be most happy to hear from you.
