I think I found them and after getting the records it no wonder they've been so hard to find!

The 3rd McKinney son has the middle name of Haslett (Thomas James' mother was Adams so it's not her maiden name) and earlier I saw a birth for a William Logan with mother Haslett the right age to be Bella's younger brother-
Birth: William Logan 15 Nov.1890 Dungiven sub-district (mother Haslett)

Next tried to find a marriage between a William Logan and ? Haslett but no match so I searched for Haslett marriage in Limavady district and found this-
Marriage: Letitia Haslett 6 Dec.1887 to William Logue

Back to searching for Isabella but this time just looked for surname beginning with 'log' and found this-
Birth: Isabella Logue 11 Nov.1888 Dungiven sub-district

Death: Letitia Logue age 40 died 3 May 1892 Dungiven sub-district

? Death: William Logue age 36 died 26 Sept.1892 Dungiven sub-district

The children's mother may or may not have been Anderson (perhaps Jane had a daughter before her marriage or she married more than once.

I was close but Jane Anderson was William Logue/Logan's mother!
Have started looking for clues in the Valuation Revision Books for Rallagh townland (www.proni.gov.uk) and found that 16b went from James Miller > Jane Logue > Mary Anderson (c1902) > John Moore (c1914)

Then found a marriage- Jane Logue, daughter of Thomas Logue, 23 Oct.1856 (Limavady district) David Anderson, son of William Anderson. Extract below says both widowed-

Aghadowey, thanks for all this info.  Coukd the change of name to Logue be a misprint as their listed as Logan in 1901 census in Rallagh

I think the surname was mainly Logue until c1900 when they started spelling it Logan (both names sound similar)-

1856 Jane LOGUE married David Anderson
1887 William LOGUE married Letitia Haslett
1888 Isabella LOGUE born
1890 William LOGAN born
1892 Letitia LOGUE died
?1892 William LOGUE died
1913 Isabella LOGAN married

Note: Bella Logan married 17 Dec.1913

Hi,
The Anderson/Logue marriage took place in Bovevagh Church of Ireland.
A couple of possibilities for earlier marriages:-
16 Dec 1847 David Anderson married Betty Jane ROBISON in Bovevagh Presbyterian church and on 11 Dec 1855 John Logan married Jane King in Limavady Civil Registrars Office.

The 1847 marriage could be David Anderson's 1st marriage (in 1856 he was widower)  :)

Aghadowey and Kingskerwell, thanks again for all the info, we hope to visit those churches sometime soon.. I'm still trying to trace William Logan b 1890 but no luck.  He joined the navy in 1915 and left in 1919. Possibly stayed in England so will try some sites there.

Glad to finally have found the family of Isabella Logan after all this time. You can view the certificates online through GRONI's website.

Haven't been to Dungiven and past Boveva Presbyterian Church since, well yesterday afternoon actually  :)

Added- see that William James Logan's records list birthdate as 15 Nov.1891 and birthplace as Dernaflaw (near Dungiven) with occupation as brass foundry labourer. Wonder exactly where he was working pre-1915 and if he returned there at least for a while.

Aghadowey, on his military record his address was given as Dernaflaw, Dungiven. Might have settled in England. So glad to have solved the mystery of Bella Logan but amazed that they changed their name from Logue.  Thanks again
