Abersychan nieces Pettey to Bond
« on: Tuesday 23 June 15 09:25 BST (UK) »
My understanding: On the death of Elizabeth Pettey nee Bond it seems the older children stayed in the Bristol area and William Pettey (1862 Shepton Mallet) moved to Brecon later remarrying in Abergavenny area.

I'm interested in trying to trace the two youngest: I have a Emily and Laura Pettey in 1891 living with Joseph and Charlotte Bond at Abersychan.  They are down as domestic servants but are nieces to Joseph who is brother to their deceased mother Elizabeth Pettey nee Bond.

However from then on I have no trace of them except a possible marriage between Laura Adam to George Waters in 1891.

I wonder if you have any info?

Thanks Ray

Thanks to you all. I'm out and about so will reread and check later but
memory is there was a Chase Hy? son of Joseph on 1891 census. If so as it's the right age that could be Charles?

It looks like Laura is well sorted and Emily most likely

Williams second marriage to Charlotte Edwards brought forth a child Ada (My Nan s Sister) Can I draw any significance between that and Laura Ada or just coincidence?

Thanks Ray
