Joining a bit late I know but I notice there's a Stephen Aynsworth death 1835 aged 43.
Address Slaney St. which is where your Stephen was at the later Baptisms.
I also notice there's a death of an Elizabeth Ensor aged 3 in 1826 dau. to Stephen & Elizabeth.Address Slaney St.
So it looks like the name change goes back a generation.

Hmm yeah will look. We think we found Minnie and albert as Ainsworth on electrol roll in Birmingham think 1930 onwards. Ive got another twist to this tale to Walter Benjamin 1864 m Jane groutage and u could not find them on 1911 census until I looked at rate book 1912 which put him as being in belmount passage Birmingham. However when I looked on census they named themselves as Jarvis . Kath

Hi again, just started looking for the children from 1881:-

Walter B 1864
Mary A 1867
Stephen W 1869
Charles 1872
Eliza 1875
Minnie 1877
And of course Albert b 1880
Starting with Charles their are two Charles Ensors/Ensers in 1891 one in the Royal Artillery,  but looking at his record his father was a Charles also, and a Charles Enser 19 occ Brass Founder b Birmingham on RG12/2390/10/19
