Family History is a Pandora's box if you don't like what you see find a new hobby, only concentrate on the proven facts and not the facts you think you know.

Hi Margp

Thanks for looking.

I checked her out in 1841. She is with George and Mary Jones of West Bromwich so she's not the one I'm looking for. Neither is she the West Bromwich death that Milliepede found in 1843 because the 1851 confirms George and Mary are her parents and she is still with them in 1851.

Hi Venelow

It looks like you are in the same boat as me, I have searched for 15 years, and never found my grandmothers DC

Thank you for looking Glen.

It always helps to have a second pair of eyes on the case.

It's looking like one of those unsolvable mysteries.  Alien abduction anyone?

Hi Glen

Thank you for that information. I have now checked the Archives site and there is no suitable burial listed unfortunately.  I will have to think about spending money on the 1842 entry as Willow suggested, to see if it is really for an adult. The only other thing is to check the Record Office in case they have a Death Entry that never made it to the GRO.

I have done this once before but only when I had information from a burial entry. In that case there was no suitable GRO Reference and the name was not a common one. It turned out that local office did not have an entry either although the year was 1856.

In this case, my request would be far too vague.

Cheers
Venelow

Hi,Do you know what parish they were living in when they were in Wolverhampton?I had a quick look, but hadnt got time to wade through all the Jones,.There are loads of records at the archives which arent on line.At least a burial would give you something to go on.Glen
