Jonathan Hankey 1679-1764

My 7th great grandfather above married Katherine Roberts at Grappenhall on 15/06/1704 and as far as I know went on to have 7 children.

Today in researching further I have found another marriage to a Sara Knowles at Runcorn on 19/06/1698. So I wonder if this was his first marriage and he remarried Katherine after Sara died although I have yet to find her death.

Any help would be greatly appreciated even if it is to prove this is another Jonathan.

This might not help much but there were two baptisms at Grappenhall, father Jonathan Hankey.
Martha 15 Jan 1698, Mary born (9 Oct 1700) 27 Oct 1700 & Katherine born 2 Feb 1703. Mother not noted.

I cannot find a burial for Sara until after 1710. I did see Jonathon’s burial, as you state, also Katherine, as you probably know on 3 Dec 1747.

There is only one conclusion I can draw from the above but I might be wrong!
