Your Correct Thomas Salt and wife Dinah next appear in the USA arriving 1853 along with his mother Mary Salt nee Cooper in Rhode Island

Her husband Francis Salt went to the USA earlier than wife Mary Salt nee Cooper he first appears on 1850 Connecticut, USA and on later census with Mary salt Nee Cooper.
