George Flanagan of county monaghan
« on: Thursday 16 July 15 22:54 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace a George Flanagan who was born in county Monaghan in 1874. His father was called David and his mother called Anne.  I cannot locate these in the 1901 census

Perhaps George's birth?

Are you sure the family stayed in Ireland?

Added- David Flanagan married (11 Oct.1853) Ann Hill McRoberts

Is this George in 1911? if so, his age is 40 (born c1871) and he's in Co. Armagh not Belfast.

When you've found something connected to your query it's best to put the link in your post so we can all see it.

No sign that I an see in 1901.

There is an 1899 emigration of a George Flanagan to the US aged 25.

I found an Ann Flannagan in 1901 census (widow, born Monaghan) with 2 daughters in Belfast but can't tell yet if she is the correct person.
