Postcard back castle logo
« on: Saturday 18 July 15 17:23 BST (UK) »
Hi, has anyone seen this logo on a real photo postcard reverse before? It appears to be a castle or similar, I'm intrigued to know if it might help me narrow down a date for a postcard I have.

The postcard I have was probably made in Yarmouth, Norfolk area and was sent c1942-1946.

Thanks

Hmm - yes it does look like oast houses. The photo was taken in Hopton-on-sea, so although the place name Hopton doesn't technically refer to 'hops', I suppose an oast house (ie drying house for hops) wouldn't be an unlikely logo for a local postcard production company. Can't imagine such a thing existed in tiny Hopton though! But who knows...
