Hi,

Would any body be able to help me please find any information on mary ann, born 1814 fort William india was suppose to be married 1842 fort William to Thomas moran born abt 1808

Hi

I can't immediately see the marriage but Mary Ann Louisa seems to have been born in Calcutta on 13 October 1814 and christened there on 5 March 1815.

They were married after Banns 29 July 1842 at Fort William Thomas was 34 a Private in the 62nd Regt. Mary Ann 28, she made her mark and was the widow of the late George SCOTT of Calcutta.

It looks as if Thomas's first marriage was 24 Aug 1829 in Secunderabad to Elizabeth LOMAS,

The one who married Thomas Moran in 1842 seems to have been born Mary Ann Louisa McKenzie (father Wm McKenzie per her marriage register), not Scott.

Thanks for your help it looks like this not the family I was looking for.
My great grandmother bridget ann was born in 1847 crictee kamptee to William scott and mary ann scott.(I know very common names).

I thought I had found a sister for her Louisa Catherine born 1840 bellary madras parents William and maary ann, on Louisa,s death certificate it had the parents scott and moran, so it looks like to different families
