Hi

Has anyone come across a Hugh King born approx 1835 in Galway  who was a tailor?
 He was my 2xgreatgrandfather but i cannot find him anywhere and I don't really have anything else to go on.

Do you have any facts or just stories re Connemara being Margaret"s POB and re her father and his occupation ?

Yes I do!
They were Roman Catholic from somewhere in Co Galway, I have looked on rootsireland and elsewhere but to know avail.  I only posted again in the hope of  searching from a different angle, ie Hugh instead of Margaret and the fact that he was a tailor may ring a bell with someone. Margaret was from County Galway, possibly Connemara area (born abt 1859-1861) and she left for England in the 1870's.  She married in Middlesbrough in 1878 to Thomas Murray.  I am on the verge of giving up!!!
