Anne Bate/Phillips/Higginson
« on: Sunday 23 August 15 22:19 BST (UK) »
Anne Bate married John Phillips at High Ercall on November 11th 1679. After John's death in 1684, Anne remarried to Robert Higginson in 1691 and died as Anne Higginson in 1701.

Looking at High Ercall baptisms, there is a baptism which may or not be her. The baptism of Anne Bate took place September 26th 1658 to William Bate. However, there is also a burial for Anne Bate in 1659 which could mean that the Anne that was baptised in 1658 also died in 1659 and therefore could not have married John Phillips in 1679.

I'm starting to confuse myself and I'm probably confusing all of you as well! Could there be two Anne Bate's around at the same time or is there just one Anne Bate?  :)

Thanks

Hi,

Have you looked for a Marriage for William Bate, father of Ann.

As ann was born abt 1658, it could be the death of her Mother also named Ann in 1659.

Only marriage I can find is William Bate = Ann Lander 6th October 1655 Uttoxeter, Staffs.

Were there any other children born to William Bate?

Hi
Sorry to say but the burial 8.Feb
Anne Bate the daughter of William Bate of Edard? was buried 8 Feb 1659.
The marriage gives his parish as Brockwardine and hers as Isombridge definitely Anna Bate

I'd be looking south perhaps Anne Bate d of Richard and Elinor 10.10.1647 at Wellington at bit early I know.
Sorry
