just cannot find these two deaths!?
« on: Friday 28 August 15 16:14 BST (UK) »
I have searched for days now and just cannot find the deaths of the following:

John Mattock born in 1880 London son of Robert Mattock and Margaret nee Robertson.
and his wife Fanny nee Rose born Pimlico London 1876.

They have one child Harriet Ellen Mattock, who we have looked at on here due to her marrying Mr Winter Walkling.. (  ;D ) she is all sorted .. with oodles of roots assistance :)

So what I have for the above...........

they are in Dacre House in London until 1912 at least JOHN is.. see Electoral rolls.

They were actually living together as man and wife in the 1901 and their daughter was born 1902.
Although the marriage I found shows 1909...Chelsea.
1911 shows the three of them together in Dacre House London and their daughter is down as Hetty.
(as I say daughter is all tidied up and finished up to her death in 1980 South end on sea husband pre-deceased.. with No issue! :( )

then I can only find maybe's or possibly's
I found a 1951 death for a Fanny Mattock in Leeds ???? the age is almost correct.
and
I found a 1947 death of a John Mattock in Surrey ?  again is  ok ish :)

Of course there is also the chance that they emigrated, divorced, or John was in the Services of some sort.

I did find one that could fit for John in The Household Cavalry No. 29270  but don't think it is correct.

Cannot find a will or probate that fits either.   :-X :-\ ???

So I am stumped.... Where else - or what else - or shall I close them off... shut them down.. Fanny seems a little bit of a worry, for some reason - I do not have a good feeling regarding her...
I attempted to trace her pre marriage... and something stopped me going to far. ??

I do appreciate all time spent and all help received.

xxx

Did Fanny have a middle name at all ?

Could she be Frances - Frances A Mattock - 1876 - June 1919 - aged 43 years. Kensington London - 1a 131  ?

Hmmm Margaret Mattock died 15 April 1923 - probate 16 May 1923 Middlesex  administration London to Helen Phyllis Davis (wife of John Bernard Davis) so no mention of son John Mattock.  :'(

Hmm - makes that Kensington death a possibility

Is there a very quick remarriage for John?
1 December 1919 at St Andrew, West Kensington
John Mattock, 39, widower, son of Robert Mattock + Lucy Dentry

Her birth should be registered in St George Hanover Square district but the only one I can find is Frances Amelia Rose in 1867! not 1876

Have you got the 1909 marriage cert? it's at the back end of the page range so it'll most probably be a register office if you haven't.
