Hi

Does your William who married Elizabeth have two sons William and Thomas ? I am looking at the family in the census's and this William has a birthdate c1804.

There are three baptisms in Newcastle that I can find around that time but one is quite interesting given the occupations of the father and son, 'pilot master/ ship owner

William Pearson bp.31 Aug 1803 All Saints, ( born 29 Jul 1803). Parents: Thomas and Eleanor.
Father s Occ. Master mariner
Second Son. Father a Native of St Andrew's. Mother Dau of William Burton, a Master Mariner of St Andrew's

The William Pearson who married Agnes Winter in 1831 was definitely still in Westmorland when their first child Mary Winter Pearson was baptised in 1831 https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:J7F9-YP2 (FROM PARISH RECORDS)
