My Direct Ancestor is Benjamin Adair was born in Co Cavan in 1802. He married Rosana Donahue from Co. Carlow. They moved to Lanarkshire, Scotland before 1841. He possibly died 27 JUL 1852 in Gorbals, Lanarkshire (according to old Census records) and soonafter, his family sailed to Philadelphia. The 1851 Census states that he is a Spirits Dealer. Does anyone have any advice on how to trace him or know of any Adairs in the business of spirits?
