An hypothetical question
« on: Friday 25 September 15 15:21 BST (UK) »
1831 - a family is "removed" from District A (where the husband and wife had married the previous year) to District B.

1841 - the same family is now living in District C, just over the county line from District A.

1842 - the same family minus the husband who has "since" deserted is "removed" from District C to District B, the "last legal settlement" of the absconded husband.

1851 - the family is now living in District C, with the wife described as a widow.
