John Wilson and Ellen Sym

I believe John Wilson (listed as labourer/maybe carpenter) and Ellen Sym were born in Northumberland and may have ended up in New Zealand. I only have these names as are off John Stewart Wilson (son) marriage certificate in 1894.
I am trying to find them on a boat or even ages/death so can go back further. Maybe John jnr came with someone else to NZ??

 Their son John Stewart Wilson is believed to have been abt 5yrs when arriving in New Zealand. He was listed as a carpenter/joiner.John Stewart Wilson married Kate Blandford in 1894 cert notes John Stewart Wilson was 24yrs, then married Dorothy Louise Blandford as Kate died. John Stewart Wilson death certificate in 1933 says he was 60. Have no other evidence of siblings. John Stewart Wilson lived in Petone/Featherstone/Married Dorothy in Hastings/ Died Petone. Any ideas, so many Wilsons.Buried old Taita cemetery.

Still not certain if I am on the right track, but this is the burial for the John Wilson who is mentioned in the above articles....

Just to confuse things it appears there may have been 2 John Wilson's with sons John Stewart,there is a NZ birth for this chap
1879/18534   Wilson    John Stewart    to Margaret Marion   and John

I suspect he may be the chap mentioned in the PP article above
