John RICE- St Just in Roseland
« on: Thursday 22 October 15 16:34 BST (UK) »
John RICE married Elizabeth HUGO in St Just in 1731

which of the burials in 1744, 1758/9 or 1766 was this John?

The earliest of the three was described as a gentleman in the index of wills

There doesn't seem to be anything on any of the major websites.

Have you tried the Parish Clerk for St Just to see if they have any further information in the Church itself?

Or, see if anybody could see if there are any gravestones that may give further clues?

With the absence of ages on the burials I think all you can do is try to eliminate the other possibilities.

St Just in Roseland John RICE & Elizabeth

Baptisms
JOHN 12 Jan 1732
JENNIFER 26 Jul 1734 burial 20 Sep 1772
ELIZABETH 5 Nov 1736 child burial 29 Dec 1739?

Was this Elizabeth and did John remarry in 1762 below?
ELIZABETH RICE burial 16 Nov 1760

Or was this ELIZABETH RICE burial 1 Apr 1788

Was this John and did Elizabeth die earlier, or was this the son?
John RICE married Thomasin VOISEY 30 Mar 1749
2 daughters.

John RICE married Anne ANGOLLAN 4 Jun 1762
No children?
