Fraser, The Neuk, Rutherglen
« on: Wednesday 28 October 15 20:36 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find out more about the Fraser family that lived at The Neuk, Rutherglen.  James Fraser 1859-1937.  He was a builder, company name Jas. Fraser & co, 6 Union Street.  I have certificates and census information.  I am looking for any info or images anyone has about the family, the house or the business.

Thanks fo any help.

Do you have the names of adjacent properties from the census records? It may help locate The Neuk.

The census tells me it is on stonelaw avenue but this doesn't seem to exist in Rutherglen!!  Also not sure how to search the census for addresses,  so any help with that would be appreciated.

Think that Stonelaw Avenue is actually Crosshill Drive. I used to live in that area and the side by side map also shows this.

Thank you.  Do you remember the house? Or the Fraser family?

Sorry, I don't remember the house. I have checked my family tree (Fraser) and we are not connected nor do I know of any Fraser people who lived in the area. Sorry I cannot help with that either. Good luck in your search.
