Hi -
I have looked at the family tree.  I see that William Sennett that married Mary McMahon did so in the USA.  William indicates he came to USA in 1854.  Many docs say he was born in 1840.  Our tree shows 2 sisters, Margaret and Catherine. Norah the mother.  Catherine's death certificate shows her parents name as Richard and Nora!  No one ever knew that!  How can I pursue the richard Sinnott and Honora Gorman from Kilshalan Tipperary?  I do not thin Richard emigrated with the family.  He is not buried in the family plot in North East, pa.  Probably died in Ireland?

Tara has posted links to church registers but Catholic records usually do not record burials and civil registration of deaths didn't start until 1864.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Found the baptism of a baby to Richard Synnott and Honora Gorman in July 1841.  I cannot make out the name.  It looks like Joannun.  Could this be the John that Tara mentioned?

No guarantees that it's the correct family but might give you something to work with on US records.

Re: Richard Sennett/Synnott and wife Honorah Synnott/Sennett information

Trying agin to find some information on Richard Synnott/Sinnott/Sennett and his wife Honorah (Norah) and family up until 1852.  The family believes Richard died in 1852 and Norah came over with 3 of her five children.  2 others followed to America.

3 children lived to adulthood in the USA -- William, Margaret and Catherine.  We know there were 2 others, but no names.  I am thinking a John and Ellen or Helen based on other family notes.

Any information on Richard Synnott and his family up until 1852 is much appreciated.  Parents, etc.  Where could I find burial information there.  We have most all of the family info. In Pensylvania where they settled.   Thanks!  Irish Lynn
