Hi JonJon,
I think this might be the marriage of George Coutts the mariner. On his Mate's ticket (1868) he's living Catto Square but on his Master's (1872) he's moved to Park Street. On Park Street in 1871 (should be 1881) there's an Ann Coutts, born Stonehaven along with her widowed father James Adam.

This marriage certificate would confirm George's mother's maiden name should you need to do that in the future.

I've not managed to work out the Fife connection for Mary Campbell.

EDIT:Just to add an Ann Adam other names Coutts dies in 1886 in Glasgow.

George Coutts bp.27/12/1844 Aberdeen, son of David Coutts and Marjory Murray
David Coutts bp.14/8/1846                   ditto

Looks like this is the parents marriage:

David Coutts of Aberdeen married May (as written) Murray , daughter of late James Murray, farmer in parish of Old Machan, on 26/10/1844 Aberdeen.

However, whilst it would seem to be their marriage (census shows no David with a wife named May)
found the following death entry which disputes name of father:

Marjory Coutts, aged 63, widow of David Coutts, Seaman (Merchant Service) died 28/12/1883 Cotton Street, Aberdeen of Apoplexy (1 day).   The informant is given as her sister, Isabella Hay/May?? (extremely hard to read, possibly something else) of 169 West North Street, Aberdeen.

Parents: William Murray, Labourer (deceased) and Jane Stewart, previously Murray, nee McKenzie (deceased).

All above found on SP.

parish of Old Machan

That will be Old Machar - one of the parishes which includes parts of the city of Aberdeen, including Old Aberdeen and St Machar Cathedral.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Hi Everyone,

A special thank you to Annette7 for the Baptisms.

I am going the make another effort to find this David Coutts in the 1871 & 1881 census.
This may take me to England; because the Callao Dock Co. appears to have been based in Liverpool.

Thanks again for your input.

Cheers
JonJon
