Help needed on my 4 JONES' connections from Meifod area
« on: Saturday 07 November 15 17:26 GMT (UK) »
Hi Folks,

I'm looking for any help on my various JONES' connections.

    1) David JONES, farmer.  Wife Elizabeth.  Father of Mary born around 1809 in Forden.  Mary married Robert HUMPHREYS in 1838.  Witnesses were William PRYCE and Elnor/Elanor JONES.

    2) Jane JONES, from Llanyblodwell, born around 1797.  (Jane was the mother-in-law to the above Mary)  Jane married John HUMPHREYS in 1818 in Meifod.

    3) When Robert HUMPHREYS from #1,  died/went to the USA, his wife Mary became housekeeper to a William JONES, wheelwright, born around 1791 in Llandililio (? Llanidloes).  They lived in Tyddyn Prydd just outside Welshpool.

    4) Robert HUMPHREYS and Mary JONES (#1 and #3) had a daughter called Mary Jane in 1842 in Meifod.   In 1869 Mary Jane married a John JONES, born around 1831 from Bettws.  They settled in Colwyn Bay.

If anyone is aware of any connection between the above JONES families, or has more information, I would be most grateful to hear from you.

Kind regards

Mike
