Hi

Just to let you know a ongoing revamped Huddersfield Absent Voters is now on www.huddersfieldremembers.info the site also contains a list of the names from some of the WW1 memorials in the Huddersfield area and a list of the service men who are also buried in the area.

Hello John
How does the information differ from the paper versions at The Root Cellar, and in the Huddersfield Local Studies library?  Are there many additions to those listed?

Hi

I have changed the lay out so someone who is in more then one book you can look across and see he is in the other books, I am also researching the names giving birth, baptisms, parents, marriage & deaths.
This is on going I have only done 2,000 so far and some of them I cannot find or have several possibilities so I haven't entered anything for them. I am also doing the same with the memorials I am doing.

Regards

Many thanks.  The single copy that I have seen in the Local Studies Library relates to 1918, but from your reply I assume there are others.

The copies have the other registers, spring 1919, autumn 1919 & 1920, but the way I indexed it, (has you have proved) mixed them up all up giving some of them up to 4 entries.
I have now put the years alongside the names and removed the extra entry and I am also adding extra research I can find.
