Kidderminster: Binnington Lane Road?
« on: Friday 20 November 15 08:15 GMT (UK) »
Someone in my tree gave this as an address in 1959 but I can find no such road - does anyone with local knowledge have an idea where it might be (or have been)? I've tried searching for alternatives like Billington, Binningdon, Bennington etc with no joy.

Cheers

Paul.
EDIT: Found a Bluntington but no Bluntington Lane/Road :(

Thanks for the suggestion Kay but I don't think that's it... the highest house number on that road is nowhere near the number given :(

If the house number was high it must have been quite a long road.   I wonder if it could have been a badly written Birmingham Road :-\

Have you perhaps tried locating a 1959 telephone book?  Or Gazette of some kind for Kidderminster?

The link below is to a list of Kidderminster Streets, may lead you to the correct street name.

Thanks all for the suggestions - here's the relevant part of the document so no mistaking what that says (whether or not it was misread, misheard or made up is another matter of course!).

Can't find a suitable candidate at the streetmapof link, I'll try some older maps/directories or local library when I get chance.

Cheers

Paul
