Fanny's mum was Mary Ann Jessop and her dad was whaler Thomas Robson/Robinson.

Father's name not the same as the baptism record and mother is Ann Mary and as I suggested previously probably given names and not a surname as indicated in the index.  Wish my DVD of early church records in Vic would load.

Yes Cando, they definitely are - the father's Christian name changes between Thomas and John - there is also another marriage for Mary Ann Jessop - she marries William Millard (previously discussed on this forum).

It was routine for all deaths in public institutions to be subjected an inquest.  George died at the Sunbury Mental Asylum where he may have possibly been a patient/inmate for years possibly since c1925 when Annie is living alone with occupation charwoman.

TRARALGON. — On Tuesday evening a man named George Morphett was arrested about a mile out of the township on a charge of having stolen a bicycle, value £22, from M. Berridge, of Swan Hill, on 10lh December, 1902. He will be brought up on Thursday and remanded.

On Remand.—George Morphett, a young man, charged with stealing a bicycle valued at £22/10/. at Swan Hill, was brought to Bendigo last evening on remand from Traralgon, where he was arrested. He will proceed to Swan Hill to-day.

Looking at all my Victorian resources I noticed that Jeremiah Snr and Jeremiah Jnr were mining at Maffra in 1871.

Once again you would need a certificate or two to confirm that this is the right man.  The 1911 marriage certificate would give you the groom's parents' names.

Are you going to purchase Jeremiah's 1891 marriage certificate?  It would be interesting to note what information he gave the minister.  However it doesn't alter the facts....he committed bigamy when he married Emma TURNER as Fanny was living in NSW.
