I am trying to find who Denis Critchleys parents were he was born 1886 in Dublin north
1901 he is a servant in Kildare
1912 he was in the military
1913 he married Catherine Davis
1915 his daughter was born in Rathdown
1918 was his death
any help would be appreciated or any idea where i could look

This looks like the birth of Margaret from the Census

Further to Sinann's post at reply #2 and pending arrival of Denis' marriage certificate, just to note that Denis' pension record identified his mother as Anne (Queensborough County Kildare) and three brothers: Matthew (Queensborough County Kildare), Patrick (Johnstown Kennedy County Dublin), and John (Blackrock County Dublin).

A Patrick Critchley (father John) from Celbridge married an Anne Dunne (father Matthew) in Maynooth parish in 1876, just a possibility. A Patrick Critchly and Anne Dunn had a son Matthew baptised in Skryne RC parish County Meath on 6 February 1879 (left page, 3rd entry down from top):
