1911 Census look up please Middlesex
« on: Thursday 10 December 15 16:46 GMT (UK) »
Hi. :)
I wonder whether someone could look up the 1911 census for 98 Gifford Street, Caledonian Road, Middlesex. It was a pub apparently and I have been told there was an Alice Piggott living there. I am hoping it might have been my grt. grandmother who I have not been able to find in 1911 0r 1901.
 Regards Quester

Sorry but we are not allowed to do 1911 lookups.

If you can post a few more details - date & place of birth, is Alice Piggott  her birth name or married name - I am sure we can have a good rummage to try to find her in 1901.

Want to tell us more about Alice so at least we could look for her in 1901?

Of course, this has been asked before . . . . .

It would really save an awful lot of duplicated effort if details were provided at the time of the request.

Hi,
Sorry I did not realise you could not look up the 1911 census. :-[ Yes, I have enquired about Alice Emily Piggott nee Lowe before and have tried for many years to find her in 1901 and 1911. I think she must have started to live with another man and just assumed his surname. So I may never find her as their are a lot of Alice Emily's living in or around Islington at that time. I am extremely grateful for all the help and suggestions that have been offered to me via this forum in the past regarding Alice and I didn't want to bother everyone again, that is why I did not mention my previous posts.

The problem is that by not mentioning your previous posts, people will waste time duplicating what we found there. You are much better linking posts so that people can read them and perhaps add to them.
