Alice E Griffin 1868 Grantham, Lincolnshire

Trying to find the above in the 1891 census, I have her in 1881 & 1911 , trying to understand what or why she was not registered, thought at first she may of wed but turns up 1911 as a Sick Nurse, Devon, tried looking in that area with not luck.
Anyone any ideas please

parents and siblings at same address in 1891 (plus a 25 yr old William, who wasn't at home in 1881) but no Alice

Thanks... I have found in past searches that you normally come across a person missing in one particular census but not in two (20years) tried looking to see if she wed ,nothing, tried looking n the last known place i.e. Devon where she is a sick nurse 1911 & working backwards, still nothing..

Found her!  well.....possibly

In 1891 she is visiting her sister in law and family. Mary E Swift. (marriage shows Mary to be nee Griffin) Gives pob as Pinchbeck
If you trace back, Mary can be seen on 1861 age 4, and her parents are indeed also William and Rebecca. Though ages and places of birth do not tie up.

So maybe not.

The family I was looking at can be seen in 1871 and do indeed have an Alice, but seem to be a different family to the one we want (so confusing, two William and Rebecca Griffins , in Lincolnshire, both with dtr Alice)

Hi John,

In Grantham cemetery in a purchased grave Section 16 Plot P6 with Headstone there are 2 Spinsters

Alice Emily Griffin buried 22 September 1937 aged 69
Kate Griffin buried 7 December 1959 aged 80.

further to my information Alice Emily Griffin was living at 19 Malt Hill when she died according to the Grantham Journal dated 25 September 1937
