What became of Frederick Leo Carney.
« on: Wednesday 30 December 15 19:15 GMT (UK) »
Im trying to help a friend trace an ancestor.
Frederick Leo Carney was born 1st October 1878, he was christened St Malachy's R/C  on October 6th, his sponsor was Lizzie Cassidy.
Fredericks Parents were Alfred Ernest Carney and Sarah ?.

Fredrick had several siblings.
Alfred 1877-1939
Ernst 1880-1961
Louis Emmanuel 1882-1947
Mabel 1886-1969
Maria Winifred Carney 1887-1943.

Fredrick Leo is a mystery, apart from his birth nothing seems to exist as to whether he died in infancy, or lived..id be grateful for any help in putting the last pieces of the family jigsaw together..especially as Winifred would play a part in Irish History.

An Alfred Carney with wife Sarah & children (Alfred H., Ernest A., Louis E., Maud, Mabel, Winnie) in 1891 English census- all born Ireland except sons Alfred & Ernest-

If this is the son Louis' marriage in New York then mother was Sarah Cassidy-

Added- birth registration for Frederick (1878) confirms mother's maiden name

Note: Maud in 1891 census not on your list of children
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Based on the fact that 2 sons born Scotland I checked Scotland's People for deaths and there is a possibility-
Frederick Leo Carney born 1879 (+/-1 year) died 1880

Is there an exact location(town/city) for that Find Aghadowney?..I could pass it on to my Friend for her to purchase death cert and confirm or dismiss as 'her' Frederick Leo.
