Identifying make of an old car? 1930's
« on: Saturday 02 January 16 20:59 GMT (UK) »
Put on a photo previously for restoration, shall post the link below in the hope you can view it....  Anyone hazard a guess as to what kind of car it is?? I've had a google but cant seem to find anything.  The photo was taken in Nairn around the early 1930's.   Any help appreciated. Thanks.

12hp 4seater Open Tourer?

"Armstrong Siddeley announced the 12 HP as a new lower priced model in October 1928 and the first full year of sales was in 1929."

Hi

I (now) agree with David that it could be a 14hp.

I'll go as far as suggesting that it is a Sandown.
Position of door handles, side screens (still fully in place on near-side) . . . . .
"The Sandown was the nearest the 14 HP got to having sporting credentials, with sloping doors and a slightly more raked steering column."
