Had a look at Gloucestershire Baptism Disc from 1813 - no HESBROOK's listed - neither this surname on Marriage/Burial CD's either.

There is a Lewis HESBROOK who marries at Cheltenham in 1857 to a Sarah HOLMES, and notice Abraham HESBROOK names one of his sons Lewis. (family name?)

Looking at the Church of Latter Day Saints - variations include: Edward HASEBROOK who married in Taynton, Gloucestershire in 1837 - father Edward - or even HASBRT, HASBOR etc.

Do you know when George HESBROOK married Mary (?) and where

There are a number of trees on Ancestry which give George's parents as Lewis/Louis  Hesbrook/Hezebrook and Phoebe née Holland. They also have Phoebe marrying for a second time to John Wooley.

It is difficult to be sure that these are correct.  However in 1841 there is a couple named John and Phoebe Wooley living in Newport, Shropshire.

John  aged 65, agricultural labourer  born in county
Phoebe aged 45                              not born in county
 and a child
Ann Esbrook aged 2                        born in county

Census ref: HO107/ Piece: 906/ Book: 8/ Folio: 5/ Page: 3

In 1851 Ann Hesbrook aged 11 appears in Newport as the granddaughter of Jane whose surname Ancestry have as both Cannell and Cornmell, but which might well be Cornwall

Marriage on 9 August 1824 at St Margaret, Westminster  after banns
John Woolley bachelor otp
Phoebe Hezebrook widow otp

Witnesses: Robert Pebworth
                 Hannah Pebworth

The Ancestry trees give George a brother named Lewis Hesbrook.

Lewis was a schoolmaster of a ragged school in Worcestershire, and was born in old Brompton, Middlesex according to censuses, but he appears to have married in Cheltenham, in 1857.

St Mary Cheltenham
22 October 1857
Lewis Hesbrook  full age Bachelor servant of Lypiatt Street
s/o Lewis Hesbrook  servant
Sarah Holmes full age  spinster of 2 Derby Villas
d/o Peter Holmes  labourer

Witnesses: Samuel Baxter
                 Lydia Winson

In 1861 Phoebe Woolley has grand-daughters Ann 21 and Jane 19 both listed as Asbrook - these appear to be 2 of the daughters of George and Mary which seems to confirm one link.

As nearly always on these darn Ancestry trees no sources given!

Can't find marriage between Phoebe Holland and Louis/Lewis Hesbrook/Esbrook/Hazebrook, can't find his death 1818 or 1820 (depending on what tree you look at).   Louis/Lewis bc.1815 Old Brompton, Middlesex shows father as same name, servant when he marries in 1857.   Quite where the details of the daughter supposedly born Christchurch, Southwark ca.1818 have come from have no idea.
