I spotted a memorial stone to John Edward Holyland in the churchyard in Laughton whilst I was looking for another surname entirely.

As Holyland is one of my main family names, I wondered if he was connected to my branch of Holylands, and I can't find out -- so wondered if anyone on here knows of him, has him on their tree etc.

Info from his gravestone and freeBMD:
Born John Edward Holyland 1924, Market Harborough district; married Joyce Elizabeth Partridge (1925 - 2011) in Mkt Harborough district in 1956.

John's mmn was Lomas so the likely marriage is this one:

Lomas    Alice    Holyland    Mt.Harbro'    7a   21    

and there I am stumped! Albert may be nothing to do with my bunch, of course, but it would be a serendipitous touch if I could fill any blanks with this find!
