George Arthur Brookes died 1 July 1964 probate Nottingham 2 September to Lavinia Brookes his widow and Michael Kenneth Brookes chemical storeman. I am unable to find out who Michael is or anything about him, can any one help please. Thank you  Mary

As he is possibly still alive, you should remove his name from here.

There are numerous births for this name, so presumably one must be the person you want. You havnt given Lavinias maiden name, so I cant see if any are a child of the marriage (though if she had been married before then this would not tally with looking up marriages, which I did look at quickly to no avail). Or maybe he is a child of George's from a previous marriage. Or a grandson (if George was elderly) or a nephew. All sorts of possibilities. You need to research George's wider family to saee when you come across someone of this name.  Or get a copy of the Will, which may specify e.g xxxxxx,my nephew....
