Hiya Fruitcakegranny,

And a warm welcome to Rootschat  ;D

I hope we can help you.  There are plenty of knowledgable people here so fingers crossed.

A few questions to get as much info as we can so we know where to start.

Farquharson is a noble name and a clan.

But to try and really get started on where you hail from can we get a bit of info on your grandfather.

Here's a few questions..

Do you know where in Scotland he was born?
What his full name was/is?
When was he born - a rough estimate is fine if you aren't sure?

These are just for starters if you have any other informatoin then pile it on here - you never know a distant cousin may read this  ;D

All the best,
Pam

Hi,

I am also from the USA and my gggggggrandmothers  maiden name was Ferguson which has various spellings, one of which is Farguharson.

Can you tell me some of the names you are researching?

Maybe we have some that are similar.

                    Regards,
                                   Renee :)
