Are there any records to who own property in Maidenhead Berkshire in 1939

I am trying to find out who owned a house, where my mother was living in 1939, the address is

Haseley, Boyn Valley Rd Maidenhead Berkshire

Might the electoral register give you the name of the residents or tenants, but not necessarily the owner?

The story goes that my mothers husband, worked has a head gardener and chauffer, for a big house owned by one of the partners of Tate and Lyle, and they lived rent free has part of his wages, before the 1939 register came out, I checked with Berkshire Archive and they have no Electoral Registers  for that time, and has you say that would only give me who lived there not who owned it
