There is the possibility, if he was born the same time as her, that he could still be alive. In which case we need to be careful about the information posted, don't we?

The other people who may know more about her would be if she had any nieces or nephews.

I mentioned a possible sibling earlier.

This looks like her brother

Birth
Jul/Aug/Sep 1920
Wellington
Ref 5c 478
Victor R J Darcy
mums maiden name Sully

Death
Sept 1965
Bristol
ref 7b 108
Victor R J Darcy
age 45

You could look and see if he had any family

He did leave a Will -

Probate index entry:
Victor Reginald John D'Arcy of 19 Stafford Road Weston Super Mare died 22 Aug at the General Hospital Radcliffe Bristol Probate to Lillian Margaret Darcy widow

Marriage in 1941 to Lillian Margaret Wright. I haven't checked to see if there are any Darcy children with mums maiden name Wright. We could not post details even if there are as they may still be alive. But you may like to look your self on www.freebmd.org

(modified to add - just peeped - at least 2 children of that marriage, maybe more)

Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

Philisan, welcome to Rootschat from me as well! When you are ready to look back, just say so on this thread, and this lovely bunch will help point you to an appropriate board and help you continue on your search.  J.J.
p.s.
Interesting... :) I wonder this will eventually turn out to be the same family? Leather patent back in the 16th century! A goal to eventually get back to later on.

Have just come in on this, but well done all who helped.

Having just read the birth cert, I too concur that her profession was Cook, if you look at the way the registrar has written the word BrocKet as the address,he seems to like to write a capital K.

In the same way as he's written one at the end of the word CooK. ;D
