The Hull Advertiser & Exchange Gazette, 27 Oct 1848, reported on a court case ("A case of scandal") which mentions an "Isaac Kitchingham Jackson... bacon factor...".

This appears to be him on the '51 Census  HO107  2362  93  11

Possible link to "your" John?

There has to be a connection, doesn't there?  Was he of an age to be John's brother?

Kay

I think this baby could be the John Kitchingman Jackson whose death was registered in 1850 rather than John Jackson bookseller  https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JCBT-M6X

Thanks.  It looks like she did get evicted.  What an ordeal for the poor soul, to have gone through the loss of her husband in such ghastly circumstances and then to lose her home.

There are newspaper references to John "Radical" Jackson as early as the 1830s - his "stern republicanism" was referred to in a letter to the Hull Advertiser from a correspondent calling himself "Peter the Piper", published in the August 5, 1836 edition.

It gets better  :D  I'm surprised he was ever awarded a room in the Charterhouse with a record like that.  Thanks.
