Yes, I have seen this. However, in an earlier census this same Thomas Little was a spouse that is a different person, Louisa. I am looking ofr the Thomas who was married to Anna (or Ann).

I actually thought that Louisa was correct, until I received the death certificate for Elizabeth. Now I am back at square one.

Thanks!

On reading through, can I just check something?

JoeNavoa, what is it you are trying to find here? From what is being discussed, you have a marriage confirmed now for Thomas and Ann in 1858 in Durham. Annette has run through census details and death dates for Thomas and Ann.

There are a number of online trees on a/try for this line. What nobody seems to have or mention there is the marriage cert details for Thomas and Ann. This makes it difficult to try to firm up their details further back always.

So, as guesses really (need Ann's father's details to be more certain really).

The surname McCall will have many spelling variants always as many names do. I think this might be Ann, just born, in 1841:

William Mccaul 25
Melescent Mccaul 20
Thomas Mccaul 2
Ann Mccaul 6 Months

Address: Muirkirk Glasgow Road, Muirkirk, Ayrshire

This does not match the place of birth given for her in 1871 of Coatbridge. However, the name Millicent is fairly rare in Scotland. See Thomas and Ann had children called William and Millicent.

Supporting that is the fact that a William McCaul and wife Millicent (Rainey) were having children in Lanchester Durham in the 1850s.

1851 census in Scotland here:

Willm Mccoll 33 Furnace Labourer b. Ireland
Thomas Mccoll 55 father Labourer At Ironworks b. Ireland
Millicent Mccoll 30 b. Ireland
Ann Mccoll 10
Margt Mccoll 8
William Mccoll 3
Mary Mccoll 1
Sarah Jane Mccoll 7 Weeks

Address 4 Brick Row, Forth Iron Works, Carnock Fifeshire

Quite a few family trees showing for this line on a/try including this one http://person.ancestry.co.uk/tree/9301070/person/-130241698/facts

An old short post here on RC by someone also researching the McCall line www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=554383.0

Pg 20 of 28 here www.ndfhs.org/pdfs/Vol-10-No-2.pdf also includes further details on the family.

...
Can only view transcriptions of Scottish census and Thomas' birthplace (ca.1836) is given as Primroy, Ireland - from googling it appears that Primroy is near Gungannon, Tyrone.   1861 confirms he was born in Ireland.    Wife Ann/e/a is shown bc.1841 Coatbridge, Lanarkshire.
...

It's Pomeroy and Dungannon, Co. Tyrone

The online Catholic parish registers start 1837- and nothing earlier available at National Library, etc.

Added- have just seen another thread of yours which says Thomas Little from Kilskeery- whish is about 35 miles from Pomeroy.
