Can anyone help me?

Im looking for the marriage of Peter Cliffe.

Peter Cliffe was born about 1825 in Whitley, Cheshire and was an Agricultural Labourer.
In several census's his wife's name changes? whether it's a misspelling or different wife?

1861 - wife is listed as Mary?
1871 - wife is listed as James?
1881 - wife is listed as Tamar?
1911 - Widower.

here his wife is listed as Tamar? but i cant actually find a marriage?

can anyone locate his wife's name?! Its driving me mad! Im sure i have the same man?!

I wonder if he was married to a Mary but she passed then married a Tamar?

Mary in 1861 was born 1822 Hatton, Cheshire and Tamar in 1881 was also born 1822 Hatton, Cheshire. Either a coincidence or perhaps Mary's second name was Tamar and she preferred to use that.

the number 8451231 becomes (1)845 the year 12 the month 31 the day - so marriage was 31st dec 1845  and BUDG is the abbreviation for Great Budworth - the Parish

so that tells us Peter was born 1825 -  Lower Whitely

Brilliant thank you! But still no luck on tamar? mary seemed to be just mary stringer.. no luck on ancestry or GenesReunited so going to see if i can find anything on familysearch or the cheshire records website.

Mother's Name    Mary Jones

Right year, but a long way I think from where she is supposed to have been born according to the censuses.
