Portland
« on: Tuesday 01 March 16 15:34 GMT (UK) »
I have several baptisms & burials for the STOODLEIGH name that are identical apart from the Church.  Findmypast invariably names Portland St George yet FreeReg gives Portland St Andrew.  Can any Dorset Denizen help ?

I am looking for the baptism of Jewel STOODLEIGH who married Hester KNIGHT in 1690 at Winterbourne Houghton.  7 x GGrandparents.

Dorset OPC website has baptisms for Portland as follows:

St. John the Baptist     from 1847 (built in 1839)
St. Peter     from 1872 (consecrated in 1872)
