Did spot a William Felce as a patient in Darlington in 1871 on familysearch, born Abingdon.

I have been browsing through the bishops transcripts for Cockfield Durham page 353 there is 3 baptisms for George Gills chi first one begins with a J...  Elliot......Father George Mother Mary
2nd child is Robert parents George and Mary
3rd child PHILLIP  parents George and then it has Mary crossed out and underneath it looks like Jane wrote in
All 1867 19th May

There is also    a burial for George Gill 1867 aged 46 May 7TH
Is this do you think Jane Stoddart and George ,,,Mary i just dont know yet

Hi,
 First one looks like John Elliot . It is a batch baptism all on the same day, abode East Hindon.
Durham records online has a death of a Mary GILL of East Hindon in 1863

As to Charles' birth not being registered, who can say.   Since it would seem that father William's death not registered either perhaps the trauma of it all was just too much for her with both events occurring with months of each other and the legalities overlooked.  We can only speculate.
