Chipping Sodbury Incumbent
« on: Friday 11 March 16 17:44 GMT (UK) »
I am finding it difficult to tie down the period when John North was the vicar. Can anyone help?
Many thanks, Toby.

I'm sure you are right mazi that he was the man. John North proved however to be a red herring for the parish record entry was written long after his death. The register dated from 1748 - 1812. By comparing the hand writing to baptism entries, I was able to tie the entry down to about 1786.
Anyway my introduction to the site that you recommended, mazi, is much appreciated and will be very useful in the future. Thanks. T.
