Yes, sorry. We did eventually establish that William George Steward (but spelt Stewart) married Harriet Sarah Poiles in 1924 Lime House (not Mary Ann at all). This is the branch that is causing so much confusion. Harriet's parents were Frank Poiles and Susan, formerly Hillier. But they are called Peter and Sarah on the relevant censuses!

What name, address and occ did she give for her father on the 1924 marriage cert?

I haven't sent for the marriage certificate yet, but I think I will. This will be certificate number 7 for my niece to pay for, so just trying to save her money! You are right though. That should clear things up.
