Which prison in 1699?
« on: Wednesday 23 March 16 12:10 GMT (UK) »
The attached clipping shows that William Banbury died in prison in 1699.  William was a Quaker.

I am unable to interpret the prison name and hope for assistance please.

A brief account of the many prosecutions of the people called Quakers in the Exchequer, ecclesiastical and other courts ... Joseph Besse, London, 1736

Worcestershire 1696
William Banbury, John Fowler and Robert Grimes were prosecuted at the Ecclesiastical Court for Tithes

Banbury, Fowler and Grimes were excommunicated and by writs of excommunicato capiendo  committed to prison in the month called April 1699

The demand on Fowler was £1 10s 0d, on Grimes £0 15s 0d and Banbury about £1 10s 0d

Banbury and Grimes died in Prison after about a year's confinement and Fowler continued there about a year and a half.
