Who is Charlotte Beecham?

According to a tree on Ancestry, Sarah Beecham, who married Thomas Morris, was born Sarah Hunt
in 1801 Curbridge, Oxfordshire.

Looks as if Sarah may have died by 1851 after having more children - I wonder if Leah left after her death? Although the census does still give Thomas a married

Looks as is they were still here in 1854 as Sarah was born here

So that narrows it to between 1854 and 1864.

That's possible. So Sarah had a total of 8 children.

James and William Beecham would have been Morris' step children, wouldn't they be listed as such on census??

Sarah didn't die - she is back with the family in 1861!

The Beechams seem to be constantly refered to as lodgers rather than step children.

ADDED: Sarah and Thomas are still alive in 1881 as well, by then they are living alone. This looks like Sarah's death.

Wonder where she disappeared to.

That answers a lot of questions.  Just need to add to tree so that I can keep it all straight, have been copy and pasting all the info.  Just have to see if I can find some of the Probate records for those that came here.

If I can find out when they arrived here, mystery will be completely solved.

Most of our passenger lists don't start until 1890, so you might have more luck from your end, especially now that you can tie it down to between 1854 and 1864.
